A brief look to the Preface of the book called "ARAB - RACE PASHTUNS

The Pashtun tribes are made up of big and large matrimonial branches that are rooted in the Arabs, Turks, Tajiks, Baluchs, Indians, and others. Our goal in this article is not to address all the Pashtun tribes, but we seek to identify tribes that have a descent root in the Arab people and the descendants of Prophet’s Ahlulbayt (PBUT), and if they are followers of Ahlulbit, they are considered "Sayyid".

Offsprings of Shiites Imams"

S.Mohammad Baqer Mesbahzadeh

O He, who created and perfected me!
In the name of your auspicious name. O you! who are  compassionate comrade, You are the glory of the bliss that created the tribes to be identified, and above that, you put piety and knowledge. Peace be upon the master of the universe Mohammad Mostafa, and his companions, especially on the gate of the city of knowledge and prophecy, Leader of the pious and the symbol of justice and freedom, Amir-u-l Momenin Ali ibn-e- Abitaleb (PBUH).
It is more than three centuries that the fire of ethnicity and totalitarianism has been ignited over the existence of the people of Khorasan land in eastern Iran which has created a huge volcano called Afghanistan, the flames of which have flown from neighboring lands and have swept the whole world.  According to the folk language, the flames of this fire has been flared from the tomb of totalitrian racists who follow their trbies interests not national ones.
Now that this article is being written, the oppressed people of Afghanistan, who have fallen victim to democracy and secular Islam, are burnt in the fury of anger and anguish of extremist and monotheistic folk, such that it had not existed like that before. Every day, dozens of women, men and innocent children from various nationalities and tribes are killed and sliced by suicide bombers and takfiri terrorists.
No domestic or foreign authority supports defenseless people, and the systematic killing of the people of Afghanistan, especially the Shiites and Persian speakers, continues mercilessly. The leaders of some ethnic groups have been refined, some isolated and others have praised the monopolists of power.
The plight of recent decades and the performance of Pashtun and non-Pashtun ethnic, political, and religious groups, which are the main cause of this situation, have increased the tensions among ethnic groups in Afghanistan. As a result the authors and intellectuals, as well as the general ethnic oppressed people, are studying more ethnicities and their performance. I also carried out a brief study about this issue in the year 2012. The results of the study was first, published in a series of articles and later in the form of a book entitled "A Brief History of the Rites of Afghanistan" which was placed by the Ministry of Information and Culture at the time of the Ministry of Abdul Karim Khorram on the list of prohibited books.
At that time, I was seriously concerned with the issue of the difference in the origin of genelogy of the great tribe of Pashtun. The idea of Israeli-raun tribe attracted my attention. As I found this theory stronger than any other theory, In the course of research on people and region of Maidan Wardak province of Afghanistan, I realized the Arab-race and Siada[1] of the people of Wardak and Ghaljai People who had captured the territory of the Shiites of the Hazara and Sadat over time.
I decided to study more about the Arab-race and Siada of some Pashtun tribes the results of which are the present book. No difference wether any one accepts or not, my purpose in this brief study was to clarify the historical truths about the Pashtun race and tribe, which has been deliberately put under the evil of ambiguity for the last half century. Through calling these facts as legendary and unrealistic, it has been promoted as worthless and unpromising. Even it has been considered as hostility against the Pashtuns and as a national treason, so that no one dared to address this issue.
The study shows that Qais Abdul Rashid the progenitor of the Pashtuns was from Israeli race. The major Pashtun tribes attributed to his descendants are offsprings of the Gharghashti, Betani and Sarwanai of the Sami race. It also makes it clear that the descendants and tribes belonging to the people of Matta are patched in Pashtuns and are the descendants of Sayyid Shah Hussein (Sayed Ali Sarmast), renowned as Shah Hussein Ghouri. These are Arab-race and attributed to the sixth Imam of the Shiites, i.e. Imam Ja'far Sadiq (AS). Thus, the two great and famous  clans of Ghaljai and Ludi in Mati Tribe, and their subcategories, such as Hotak, Kharoti, Tukhi, Taraki, Ahmadzai, Ibrahim Khel, Soori, Suleiman Khel, Neyazi, ... are Arabs who have been Pashtunized. Similarly, the people of Wardak and their brothers Honai, Oshtoranai and Mashwanai are Arab-race Pashtuns from the descendants of Sayyed Mohammad Gisodaraz and are not intrinsic Pashtuns.
According to Abdul Hai Haibibi, the most important reason for the Arab or Israeli race of Pashtun tribe is their statements and beliefs. Pashtuns have spoken about their race from long times ago and expressed their attribution to the mentioned races with certainty. Their written or verbal genealogies by various generations are documented in historical books. These documentaries are evidence of their Arab or Israeli race.
It is, however, surprising that why some of the Pashtun and even non-Pashtun authors and intellectuals in recent decades have called the above facts as legendary and unscientific issues. They have resorted to the Indian and Greek stories and legends instead, and called them science in order to prove that Pashtun tribes are from the Aryan race. Unfortunately, these efforts are not honest, but biased and, in some cases, unknowingly. In this regard, it is enough to pay attention to the dual clash of Allameh Abdul Hai Habibi, who is the precursor of calling Pashtuns as Aryan race. He argued for the sake of the presence of Afghani Sayyid Jamal al-Din as saying: "About reputation and attachment to a nation and the affiliation of individuals, the most prestigious statements are those that the person himself has said and attributed himself to a nation or place". [Habibi, 7]
Abdul Hai Habibi says that Sayyid Jamaluddin has identified himself as an Afghan, promising him to be the most authoritative and reliable. Habibi does not pay attention to the arguments of those who do not know him as an Afghan, where as these arguments are in some cases robust and justified. Nevertheless, in the case of the hundreds of thousands of Pashtuns that have introduced themselves Israelite or Arab-race throughout their history, Habibi pursues a dualistic approach, calling them fabulous and unscientific words. Habibi adds: "Someone may say:" I am from the people of this country and from that tribe, this is the testimony of a person about his own soul which may be rational, mystical and even authentic, and, on the other hand, it is not possible to validate the comments, statements, counseling and interpretations of others [Habibi 8]. You see that Mr. Habibi misconstrued the testimony of Sayyed Jamal al-Din on his Afghan nationality as faithfully and religiously but considered the claims of others about Jamal al-Din’s nationality to be artificial and discredited. On the other hand, he does not consider the testimony of a multimillion people tribe of their own identity. To reject it, he makes use of artificial interpretations and justifications to validate his opinion.
Based on the same argument of Allameh Abdul Hai Habibi about the identity and nationality of Sayyed Jamalodin, one can categorically state that the Pashtuns are composed mainly of Israelite and Arab races because they themselves testify to this fact and believe it. Therefore, theories and other words are interpretations and justifications that are artificial, irrelevant and invalid.
The truth of belonging Ghaljai, Ludi, Sarwani, and also Wardak clans and their brothers to Arab descent and their Siada, has been historically written for centuries, in the historical books. It has also been recorded as reality in the context of Pashtun society. This fact is not made today or yesterday by the enemies of the Pashtuns, but it has been existed from the very beginning of the formation and development of the Pashtun folk. By the way the constrains of time in the past and domination of Pashtuns in more than a century have reflexed this fact reversely and it has remained unclear.
An extravagant and wonderful point of mixing tribes and peoples in human society is that over time, weak people dissolve in the stomach of strong and dominant peoples and lose their identity and even become opponent to themselves. This phenomenon can be clearly seen in Pashtun society. As some of the Arab-race Pashtuns, especially in the Ghaljai clan followed in oppressors Umayyad's footsteps [from Muawiah to Abdul Malik ibn Marwan] in hostility against the followers of Ali ibn-e-AbiTalib (AS), who are their ancestors. For instance, King Mahmud Hotak, who introduced himself as Sayyid and Quraishi, insulted the shiites imams from Imam Ali (AS) to Imam Mahdi (AS). He massacred hundreds of thousands of innocent people in Isfahan on charges of following Ali (AS) and Ahlulbait's school until he was caught up in madness through a lot of crimes.
At present time, people like Gulbudin Hekmatyar disregard and even insult the Imams of Ahlul Bayt especially Hazrat-e- Amir-u-l-Mu'minin Ali (AS) and the Lady of the two universes, Hazrat-e- Fatemeh Zahra (SA), Imam Hussein (AS) and Imam Mahdi (AS). This is obvious in his writings both in Farsi and Pashto languages.
I hope that this article can, in turn, inspire the wisdom of the noble and Muslim Pashtun and other tribes;  and help them understand that claiming the separation of blood and races and the existence of a pure people and a real fabric superior to others that impose their language, culture and dominance over other tribes is based on the superstitious beliefs of primitive societies whose history has passed, and not only it is useful for modern civilized man, but also it poisons the body of the health of the community. Now, the people of Afghanistan are poisoned by this fatal poison of ethnicity and exploited by foreign powers, traitorous opportunists and mercenary intellectuals, so-called as justice and democracy.

Pashtun appellation and genealogy
Pashtun, Patan, Pathan, Afghan, and Awghan are different names of a tribe that has been living mainly in Afghanistan and Pakistan since centuries. Those who do not consider Pashtun and Afghan the same, and through fabrication regard Afghan as the name of all tribes of Afghanistan and Pashtun as a particular tribe, are either misguided or ignorant. Despite the many efforts that have been made by Afghan governments through written, visual and audio media, as well as through textbooks, decrees and government laws to afghanize the Afghan people and Pashtunization of Afghans through the media over the last sixty years, the majority of Afghans, especially in the provinces or villages do not use the Pashtun word. Rather they call Afghans or Awghans, even the villagers call themselves Afghans. Similarly, the renaming of the Persian language to Dari language did not become prevalent, and the majority of people, including Afghans, Tajiks, Uzbiks, etc., use the word Persian, not the word Dari.
A group of Pashtun writers and politicians who have been accused in the political literature of Afghanistan as "Pashtunist" or "Chauvinist", are citing the biased or superficial perception of some European orientalists, trying to find a historical record in passover, Pashtun, and Afghan words in the legendary Herodotus And the mythological narratives of Sanskrit, Avesta and Rigveda[2].
The history of Herodotus itself, is based on myths and stories, and there are many weaknesses in terms of accuracy, correctness and trust in it. Thucydides [c. 460 – c. 400 BC) was an  The issue of the appellation of the word "Pashtun" in the historical sources of Afghanistan and the region was discussed and explained about four hundred years ago, before the emergence of European orientalists in Asia and the East, far more powerful than the Western and mythological sources of Hindi and Greek. Among these, Sayyed Jamal al-Din Afghani writes about the Pashto issue: "The letter “و” which is pronounced as “waw” in the word “پشتو” (Pashtu) is an adjective suffix and the sign of attribution in Pashtu language, which is the name of the language of the Afghan nation. This letter and suffix is similar to that of the letter "ی", [Ya] in the Arabic language, which comes as a suffix at the end of Arabic nouns for attributing. It is, however, eliminated in plural nouns. It is also possible that the word "Pashto" has been derived from the word "Bashit"; and "Bashit" is a name for a Palestinian village. This justification becomes correct if Pashtuns are considered as Israeli race. (Tatetmmeh- al-Bayan- fi- tarikh-al- Afghan (Sayyed Jamal al-din, 109)
There is also a quarrel on the appellation of the word "Afghan". The quarrel and discrepancy has gained a political and identity aspect since the last decade. About the appellation of the word Afghan,  Sayyed Jamal al-Din Afghani writes according to Persian historians: " When Bakht Nasr captured the Afghan nation under pressure, they were amazed and sorrowful, and, for the same cry, they were called in Persian as “Afghan”, i.e. cry. Afterwards, they were called by the same name. Another historians’ opinion is that the name of grandson of the Afghans’ grandfather Shawel, was Afghan, and his descendants are called after him (Sayyed Jamal-al-din, 5).
Regarding the origin of the race of Pashtun, there are many views among which there are two prominent and controversial views: one Israeli and the other Aryan race. The book entitled Aein Akbari, written from the year 1597 to 1598, may have been the first published work to mention Pashtun-Israeli race, after which the book “Tarikh-e-Ferishteh” discussed the issue. Finally, it is dealt with in detail in the book of the “Makhzan-e- Afghani”. Since then, more than eleven other historical works of the Islamic period have acknowledged the Pashtun-Israeli race. The most important of these are “Tazkereh al-abrar val Ashrar “ [i.e. Biographies of benefactors and evils], “Tawarikh-e-Rahmat  Khani” [i.e.Chronicles of Rahmat Khani], Merat al-Alam [i.e.the mirror of universe], “Majma Al-Ansab [i.e. pedigrees],”Tawarikh-e- Khurshid-e-Jahan” [i.e.Cronicles of World Sun] “Tarikh-e- Morasah”[i.e. Carbuncled History], “Ansab-e- Afagheneh”[i.e.Genelogies of Afgans] and “Sawlat-e-Afghani” [i.e. Afghan Authoirty].
Abolfazl Ibn Mubarak Alawi, in Akbari's book Akbarnameh or “The Ain I Akbari”, writes: "Afghans consider themselves the descendants of Israel ... Afghans believe that their great ancestor was called Afghan. Afghan had three sons called Sarban, Gharghashht, and Batan. They believe that tribal order of the great Pashtun tribes reaches to these three "(Abolfazl, Vol.2: p.407).
After Muslim historians, more than 24 western historians, scholars, and orientalists have endorsed the Pashtun Israeli-race theory. The names of some of them are: Mont Stewart Elfneston, Sir Alexander Bornes, William Murckraft, Sir William Jones, J. B. Ferezar, Joseph Piperfor, W. Billyo, Thomas Lidley, Henry George Raverty, Ramodin, Olaf Carvoie, Dr. Alfred Idrissch and Charles Mason.
In addition to the brief history documented, another firm proof of Israeli-race of some of the Pashtun tribes is the symbolism of some tribal names and regions and the support of these symbols by archaeological discoveries. William Murckraft, Major H. W. Billio and Sayyed Jamal al-Din Afghani, list some  symbols such as Suleimani, Khalidi, Jewish plain, Jewish castle, Mount Sulaiman and Khyber Strait. The above sites are currently in the territory of Pakistan.
Professor Henry Horace, head of the School of Historical and Archeological Studies at Bombay and Professor at Dar Al Fonon [Acsademy] of Bombay who was an honorary member of the Kabul Literary Association in Solar Hijri year 1315 (1936-1937). . He has written a book entitled “The Origin of the Greek and Buddhist Sculpture School in Gandahar”, about the discovery of the statue of a Jew who was living in the first century AD in the village of Behlul on the squares of Peshawar, Pakistan, he has written that ” The existence of Jewish people in these areas has been cleared by undoubtful sources for scientific societies from long time ago (Kabul callender 1936, p 316).
It is questionable about the appellation of Afghan and genealogy of Pashtuns that why the theorey of Israeil-race of Pashtun tribe and the derivation of Afghan word from the name of "Afghanah", which has been mentined in more than 15 books and historical source of the Islamic period over the past four hundred years, and more than 24 historians, the orientalist and scholar of the West and non-Muslims in the 19th and 20th centuries AD, narrated this prevailing comment, has been ignored; and the thoughts of few opposing writers who are less than five ones has been considered?
Why is the historic documentary that is based on the historical beliefs of the Pashtun tribes, is called fiction and folklore; and theories based on mythological, folkloric writings and false historical, are called scientific and intellectual stories?
Why more than forty writers, historians and scholars of Muslims and non-Muslims who endorses the theory of Israeli race of Pashtuns are called; and visaversa the minority- about six European and Afghan contemporary scholars opposing the Israeli-race of Pashtuns are considered as majority and of scholars?
Conflict and disgust is apparent when the Aryan propagandists, read the character of Qais Abdul Rashid in the Pashtun-Israeli narrative as a legendary figure on one hand. On the other hand, having no other source and no option they consider him as the real ancestor of Pashtuns; and connect the pedigree of the Pashtun tribes to him as the true ancestor of the Pashtun tribes. In this course it can be also mentioned that Omar Khan Afridi in his book, accuses Khwajeh Nematollah Khan Heravi of historizing the source of Israel for the Pashtun people; But he himself confesses: "There is a general and universal agreement between historians and Pashtun people that someone named as Qais is the ancestor of the Pashtuns. There is also a general belief that Qais had a Jewish root and belonged to one of the lost tribes of Israel and that the tribe lived in Ghor, Afghanistan . "(Afridi, 46)
Even Mohammed Hayat Khan, author of the Book “Hayat-e-Afghani” [i.e. Afghan Life], who is an opponent of the Israeli-race Pashtun theory, writes and prefers this narrative over other narratives. "Although the story of the book ”Makhzan-e-Afghni” differs from other writings about the Pashtun-Israeli race, it becomes closer to the truth, given the current state of the narrative." (Mohammad Hayat Khan, p. 183)
After the discussion of the Aryan or Israeli-race of Pashtuns, as we said, the proponents of both theories considered the Pashtun tribes from the descendants  of Qays Abdul Rashid and consent on this point. Nevertheless, all the Pashtun tribes are not consanguineous descendants of Qais, and their large part is not consanguineous but matrimonial.
The overall and initial studies show that tribal populations that have lost their religious and racial identity, and the tribes that are still officially maintaining their identity are much more than other Pashtun tribes.
In this research, the Pashtun tribal clan, which includes the people of Mati and its subcategories such as Ghaljaei, Ludi, Suri, Hotak, Tarakei, Kharuty, Tukhi, Ahmadzai, Suleiman Khel, Niazi, etc., are studied, through which their Arab-race and Siada will be made apparent. It is also paid attention to the Pashtun tribes who are famous for their Siada and include the tribes of Wardak, Sadat Kunar, Taran, Khundi, Bakht-e-Yari, Kouti, Sayedzai, Mashvani, Sheikhan, Jammar and others.
