Heading high-level delegation, Ghani in Nangarhar

President Ashraf Ghani travelled to eastern Nangarhar province at the head of a high-level delegation on Sunday, an official said.

Attaullah Khogyani, the governor’s spokesman, said Ghani would commend sacrifices of the Shinwari tribe and announce the defeat of Daesh at a public gathering.
Ghani is accompanied by his national security advisor (NSA), Meshrano Jirga chairman, Directorate of Local Governance head, defense minister and other government officials.
Journalists were not invited to the gathering.
