Afghanistan’s counter narcotics minister has called for more international aid in fighting against opium cultivation in the country.

"More financial resources are needed to combat this phenomenon more effectively," Din Mohammad Mobariz Rashidi said after talks with UN anti-drugs chief Yury Fedotov in Vienna on Wednesday.
