Delhi to Islamabad: Introspect about your role in Afghanistan

Pajhwok , 19 Jan 2019 - 9:44

New Delhi says Islamabad dies not reserve the right to dictate terms to independent nations on how they should conduct their foreign policy.

Delhi’s reaction came hours after Foreign Office spokesman Dr. Mohammad Faisal told reporters in Islamabad India had no role to play any in Afghanistan.
In response to his remarks, Ministry of External Affairs Raveesh Kumar said Islamabad could not take decisions on behalf of an independent and sovereign country.
NDTV quoted Kumar as saying on Friday it was not for Pakistan to decide what role another country had in regional or global affairs.
"Pakistan also cannot decide on behalf of an independent and sovereign Afghanistan and dictate it how to conduct its foreign policy," he said.
He added: "Pakistan should first and foremost introspect on its own role and responsibility in the precarious situation in Afghanistan; put an end to all kind of support for terrorism from territories under its control."
