Ghani meets Pakistani foreign minister Mehmood Qureshi
President Ashraf Ghani, who met with visiting Pakistani Foreign Minister Mehmood Qureshi, on Saturday stressed complete implementation of the new bilateral ties framework the Afghanistan-Pakistan Action Plan for Peace and Solidarity (APAPPS).

Qureshi, who arrived here on his first maiden trip outside Pakistani since becoming the foreign minister, met with President Ghani, CEO Abullah Abdullah and his foreign counterpart Salahuddin Rabbani.
A statement from the Presidential Palace said the president and the Pakistani FM discussed issues ranging from security, peace and stability in the region, joint campaign against terrorism, APAPPS and other topics of mutual interest.
It quoted President Ghani as emphasizing full implementation of the APAPPS in order to be effective.
Qureshi also called on CEO Abdullah at his office and assured the Afghan leader that Pakistan wanted cordial relations with Afghanistan.
A statement from the CEO office said Abdullah congratulated the Pakistani FM over the formation of the new government in Pakistan.
He hoped relations between the two countries in diverse fields would strengthen with the coming into power of the new government in Pakistan.
Qureshi said he visited Kabul to strengthen bilateral relations as both the nations faced challenges and that Islamabad was ready to cooperate with Kabul in achieving peace and stability.
